Your future Role

  • You are our Technical Software Expert in the company who supports our Senior Software Architect, Development Teams, Product Management and provides technical input to our CTO/CPO.
  • In your role, you report directly to our Senior Software Architect.
  • The code quality, technical implementation, and the entire software life cycle across our four development teams are part of your responsibility.
  • Define and lead software architecture and enterprise capabilities (scalability, fault tolerance, extensibility, maintainability), including architectural principles, frameworks, and standards.
  • You are leading research, case studies and creating prototypes of leading-edge technologies to explore how they can improve our software.
  • You are planning migration paths analyzing and detecting possibilities to improve our code quality and ensure that the features have been implemented correctly after deployment.
  • Support the Product Management Team with insights into the possibilities and limitations when implementing new features.
 

Your Skills

  • Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Software Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in the field of software architecture.
  • Excellent understanding of software architecture & design patterns.
  • Must have: a track record of building and deploying mission-critical, highly distributed, large-scale SaaS applications with experience in designing end-to-end architecture involving mobile systems, embedded software, and cloud services.
  • Nice to have: Experience with web technologies, highly available distributed systems, as well as data engineering and frontend or app development.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.

For this role, we provide a minimum gross annual salary of €52,136 (ST1 Regelstufe) in accordance with our IT collective agreement. This applies to a full-time position of 38.5 hours per week and requires a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience as a software architect.

 

 Individual qualifications and experience relevant to the open position will be considered for the salary, and there is a clear willingness to overpay.
