We maintain a modern, open corporate culture with a strong vision and a great working atmosphere in which creative thinking is encouraged. Your future Role

  • Design, develop and maintain the overall system architecture for our SaaS time-tracking and absence-management platform.
  • Work closely with the Product, Software and DevOps teams to define technology strategies, ensure scalability, performance and security.
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of new technologies, frameworks and tools to support our growth.
  • Ensure architectural consistency, a high-quality codebase and align systems with long-term objectives and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers in architectural decisions, code reviews and system design discussions.
  • Participate in defining and shaping our infrastructure roadmap (cloud, microservices, APIs, integrations) and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration, communicate architecture changes pro-actively and help TimeTac adapt to evolving technical requirements.
  • In this influential role, you will report directly to our Head of Software Development.

Your Skills

  • Strong background (5+ years) in software architecture, (large) system design and development in a SaaS or cloud environment.

  • Ideally, you have a full-stack understanding and profile. Hands-on skills with modern backend technologies in the PHP domain, with frameworks like Symfony, Laravel (or relevant other frameworks such as Node.js) and/or experience with front-end frame-works like React, React Native or Angular.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Deep understanding of performance optimisation, scalability, security (incl. data protection) and maintainability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture & a proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. You’re comfortable working with Software, Product, QA and DevOps teams.
  • Fluent English skills are a must, German skills are a nice-to-have. You can work in a multicultural, dynamic environment
